About The Team
Our story begins in....., when we individually met Judy Gamet, a freestyle trainer from northern California. Obviously, she inspired us all to continue in the sport and we formed our team shortly thereafter. As members of Judy's Dogs Can Dance group, we have demonstrated the art of freestyle at local venues such as rescue events, animal shelters, and most recently at the Pet Expo in Pomona, California. Our dogs come from a variety of performance sports, including agility, obedience, rally, conformation, and hunting, and represent a variety of breeds, namely Collies, Irish Setters, Golden Retrievers, Weimaraners, Australian Shepherds, and our youngest dog is from the Hound group.
Although we continue to perform under the Dogs Can Dance banner, as Appawse we have expanded our appearances to assisted living facilities, police canine demonstrations, and are looking to add private parties, dog clubs and any other opportunity which allows us to share the joy of dancing with dogs.
